In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter (final) promise came, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and to enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Issued on November 2, 1917, by then–British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour, the declaration took the form of a letter addressed to Lord Walter Rothschild, a leading figure in the Zionist movement. In it, Britain expressed support for the establishment of “a national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine—without consulting the indigenous Arab citizens who had lived there for centuries. Historians widely view the declaration as the first major Western political step toward the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. It was made during the height of World War I, as Britain sought to secure strategic alliances and consolidate its influence in the Middle East. Zionist leaders, particularly Chaim Weizmann, lobbied British officials with the promise that Jewish support would serve British wartime and imperial interests. Before its issuance, Britain obtained the approval of U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, while France and Italy endorsed the declaration soon after. In 1920, the San Remo Conference placed Palestine under British mandate, explicitly assigning London the task of implementing the declaration’s terms. The League of Nations’ 1922 mandate formalized this arrangement—transforming the Balfour Declaration from a British pledge into a broader Western commitment. For Palestinians and Arabs, the declaration represented a profound betrayal. Britain had previously assured Sharif Hussein of Mecca that Arab independence would be recognized after the war, only to make a conflicting promise to Zionist leaders. To quell growing anger, British officials claimed that Jewish settlement would not infringe on Arab interests. Yet, on the ground, British authorities actively facilitated Jewish immigration, land acquisition, and the establishment of Zionist institutions—laying the groundwork for the future state of Israel. From the 1920 Nabi Mousa riots to the 1936–1939 Palestinian Revolt, Palestinians rose repeatedly against British rule and Zionist expansion. These uprisings reflected a growing sense of dispossession and political marginalization, as the demographic and territorial balance of Palestine began to shift dramatically under British supervision. At the time of the declaration, the Jewish population in Palestine numbered around 50,000, compared to an estimated 1.65 million Arabs. Yet the Balfour Declaration granted political recognition only to the Jewish community, limiting the indigenous majority to “civil and religious rights” without any national or political standing. More than a century later, the Balfour Declaration stands as a stark symbol of colonial injustice—an imperial pledge that disregarded the rights and existence of the Palestinian people on their own land. For Palestinians, it represents the beginning of a century-long struggle against displacement, occupation, and denial of self-determination—an enduring testament to how imperial powers reshaped lives without consent or accountability. As the world marks 108 years since its issuance, Palestinians continue to demand recognition of the historic wrongs rooted in that fateful declaration and justice for generations who have lived under their consequences. The legacy of the Balfour Declaration is not a relic of the past but a living reminder that true peace requires confronting and rectifying the injustices that began with it. The consequences of this policy culminated in 1948, when the establishment of Israel led to the Nakba, or catastrophe, during which more than 700,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled from their homes. M.N. *** Three killed in Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon amid renewed ceasefire violations BEIRUT, October 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Three Lebanese were killed on Saturday evening in an Israeli airstrike near the town of Kafr Rumman in southern Lebanon, as Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement continue to escalate. According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the strike targeted a vehicle in the town, resulting in the killing of at least three people and injuring several others. In October 2023, Israel launched an assault on Lebanon that escalated into a full-scale war in September 2024, leaving more than 4,000 people dead and around 17,000 wounded. Although a ceasefire agreement was reached in November 2024, Israel has violated it more than 4,500 times, causing hundreds of additional casualties. M.N *** 40 NGOs: The Israeli occupation apartheid regime obstructs aid deliveries to Gaza Saturday 1-November-2025 El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC) 40 humanitarian groups have accused the Israeli occupation apartheid regime of obstructing aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip through using a new registration system for international NGOs, leaving tens of millions of dollars of aid stranded outside the Palestinian coastal enclave. According to the Financial Times website on Friday, these organizations, including Médecins Sans Frontières, Oxfam, People in Need, and the Norwegian Refugee Council, said last week that Israel had denied 99 requests to deliver aid to Gaza in the first 12 days of the ceasefire. Three-quarters of the refusals came on the grounds that these organizations, some of which have operated in Gaza for years, were “not authorized” to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian groups said. In March, Israel imposed new regulations requiring humanitarian organizations operating in Gaza and the occupied West Bank to re-register with its authorities by year’s end or face the revocation of their operating licenses. “We’re now in a stalemate,” Jan Egeland, head of the Norwegian Refugee Council, said, explaining that when his group asks to bring in aid, Israeli authorities say: “Your registration is under review, you cannot bring aid in, you’re not approved to bring in aid supplies.” In this context, UNRWA has said that winter shelter supplies sufficient for one million people remain stockpiled in warehouses and are barred by Israel from entering Gaza. Meanwhile, 'Ala-uddeen El-Batta, Mayor of Khan Younus and deputy head of the Union of Gaza Strip Municipalities, has warned that “thousands of displaced Palestinians are living in dilapidated tents that offer no protection from winter cold or summer heat. Speaking to Al Jazeera satellite channel, El-Batta said that these displaced citizens are living in camps without access to basic services, including water and sanitation. Official figures show that 93 percent of Gaza’s tents are no longer suitable for habitation, according to the mayor. *** Al-Qassam demands providing equipment, teams to simultaneously recover the bodies of Israeli captives Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, on Saturday urged international mediators and the International Committee of the Red Cross to provide the necessary equipment and specialized teams to recover the bodies of all Israeli captives simultaneously and in coordination across locations. In a press statement, al-Qassam said its recovery teams are fully prepared to begin the process of retrieving the bodies of Israeli captives from within the “yellow zone,” stressing that all recoveries should occur at the same time and in all areas as part of closing this file in an organized manner. Al-Qassam revealed that on Friday, in an effort not to obstruct the transfer of the bodies of Israeli captives, it offered to deliver three unidentified body samples for examination, but the Israeli side refused to accept the samples, demanding the full bodies instead. “We handed them over to preempt the enemy’s false claims,” it said. Earlier in the day, the Israeli military announced that the three bodies transferred from Gaza via the Red Cross the previous night did not belong to any of the Israeli captives. Israeli media reported that forensic analysis confirmed the bodies were not among the remaining 11 dead captives whose bodies were expected to be handed over under the terms of the ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States. *** 'Hamas: German chancellor’s remarks justify Israel’s genocide in Gaza, reaffirm Berlin’s complicity Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The 'Hamas spokesman 'Hazim Qasim has condemned recent comments by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, describing them as a “justification for Israel’s genocide in Gaza” and clear evidence of Germany’s political and military support for Israel’s war crimes. Qasim said on Friday that the German leader’s statements, in which he defended the continuation of Israel’s genocidal campaign for over two years, reflect “Germany’s entrenched bias and active complicity in the extermination of the Palestinian people,” despite the growing international consensus that the Israeli government is responsible for perpetuating the war. He called on the German chancellor to end Berlin’s blind alignment with the Israeli occupation and to stop attempting to rationalize war crimes, urging him instead to “join the global conscience that has condemned Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.” Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticized Merz’s pro-Israel remarks during a joint press conference in Ankara. The German chancellor had claimed that Hamas’s refusal to release Israeli captives was the reason for continuing the war on Gaza, a statement Erdogan rejected as a “complete disregard for Israel’s genocide.” “Does Germany not see the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza?” Erdogan asked, accusing Berlin of ignoring Israel’s atrocities, famine, and relentless attacks. He underscored that nearly 60,000 children, women, and elderly people have been killed as a result of Israel’s bombardment and condemned its use of destructive weapons against Gaza. Erdogan further noted that Israel resumed its airstrikes on Gaza even after the ceasefire agreement, stressing that the international community must “restrain Israel and put an end to the genocide and starvation in Gaza.” He proposed involving both the German Red Cross and the Turkish Red Crescent in humanitarian efforts to halt the catastrophe, reiterating that Israel continues to use its advanced weaponry, including in recent attacks, to devastate the besieged enclave. “Do you not see this in Germany? Do you not follow what is happening?” “Israel has long sought to subjugate Gaza through starvation and genocide, and it continues to do so today,” Erdogan said. *** UN: Israel razed 87% of Gaza’s farmland Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The United Nations said on Friday that 87% of agricultural land in the Gaza Strip has been damaged, with destruction continuing to rise this year as a result of the Israeli assault. A joint analysis by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the UN Satellite Center (UNOSAT) revealed widespread devastation across farmland, greenhouses, irrigation wells, and vital agricultural infrastructure, effectively wiping out Gaza’s food base and livelihoods. The analysis noted that the repeated and sustained destruction of agricultural land and assets illustrates the total collapse of the farming sector in Gaza. However, it added that about 37% of the damaged farmland could be rehabilitated and replanted after the ceasefire, including roughly 600 hectares still intact and potentially usable to rebuild food production and restore livelihoods. The report also found that damage to irrigation wells rose from 83% in April to around 87% by late September, further undermining crop and livestock sustainability in the besieged enclave. The FAO said it is preparing to take part in large-scale agricultural rehabilitation but warned that its 2025 emergency appeal for $75 million for Gaza has been only 10% funded, urging donors to provide immediate support to strengthen food security and assist affected farmers. Meanwhile, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that Israeli settlers carried out 126 attacks during the olive harvest season in the West Bank, the highest number in five years. According to OCHA’s statement on Friday evening, settler assaults targeted 70 towns, resulting in the destruction of over 4,000 olive trees and saplings. Settlers from new outposts also restricted access to many olive groves. Sixty attacks directly targeted Palestinians, leaving 17 injured and damaging 19 vehicles in the past week alone. *** ****** Gaza: Death toll climbs to 68,858 martyrs Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which started on October 7, 2023, has surged to 68,858 martyrs, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, on Saturday morning. The Ministry added that the total number of the wounded also surged to 170,664 people. In its daily report, the Ministry said that hospitals received the bodies of 22 Palestinians, including seventeen who were recovered from under the rubble and five who were killed in fresh attacks, in addition to 9 wounded people. Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, at least 226 Palestinians have been killed, 594 others injured, and the bodies of 499 martyrs have been recovered. *** Palestinian killed by Israeli gunfire in Gaza Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) A Palestinian young man was pronounced dead on Saturday after he succumbed to injuries sustained from an Israeli sniper fire in the east of Gaza City. Local sources identified the martyr as Wisam Abu Sakran, saying he was shot on Friday by an Israeli sniper in Gaza City’s El-Shuja’iya neighborhood. On Friday, another Palestinian was killed and his brother was wounded by sniper fire in the same area. *** Israeli army continues to carry out strikes, detonate homes in Gaza Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Israeli occupation army launched several airstrikes on eastern Khan Younus at dawn Saturday and detonated homes in the east of Gaza City and El-Buraij refugee camp, in a continued violation of the ceasefire agreement. According to local sources, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on eastern Khan Younus, with massive explosions heard across the area. The Israeli artillery also shelled several neighborhoods in towns of El-Qarara and 'Abasan in Khan Younus, with no reported casualties. In a related development, an Israeli quadcopter dropped bombs on the eastern area of El-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army detonated residential buildings in the east of El-Buraij refugee camp, east of Gaza City. On Friday, five Palestinians were pronounced dead following Israeli attacks on different areas of Gaza. *** Remains of three Palestinians recovered from rubble in Khan Younus GAZA, November 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Rescue teams on Saturday recovered the remains of three Palestinians from beneath the rubble in the Al-Amal neighborhood of Khan Younus in southern Gaza, following a previous Israeli airstrike, according to local sources. The victims were among those killed in previous Israeli bombardments that targeted residential areas in the city during the war. Elsewhere, Israeli forces opened fire on areas east of Khan Younus, though no casualties were reported. Israeli forces also demolished residential buildings east of Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. Earlier today, medical sources confirmed that the death toll since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza in October 2023 has risen to 68,858, the majority of them women and children. The number of injured has climbed to 170,664, while many victims remain trapped under the debris as rescue teams continue to face severe challenges in reaching them. M.N. *** IOAR receives bodies of three captives from Gaza Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Israeli occupation apartheid regime (IOAR) has received the remains of three Israeli captives from the Gaza Strip via the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported on Friday. The remains were subsequently transferred on Friday to the national forensic institute for identification and examination. No further information was provided regarding the circumstances or conditions of the handover. On Thursday, al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, also handed over two Israeli corpses to ICRC. According to Israeli media, the remains of 17 Israeli captives have been received by Israel since the start of the ceasefire, with 11 others still in Gaza. *** Al-Qassam demands providing equipment, teams to simultaneously recover the bodies of Israeli captives Saturday 1-November-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of 'Hamas, on Saturday urged international mediators and the International Committee of the Red Cross to provide the necessary equipment and specialized teams to recover the bodies of all Israeli captives simultaneously and in coordination across locations. According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped a young man after ransacking his home in El-Fari’ah refugee camp, south of Toubas City. The IOFs also stormed El-Tayaseer village, in eastern Toubas, and raided a house, without kidnappings. In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped a citizen after raiding his home in El-'Ubaydiya town. In Jineen, three citizens, including two brothers, were taken prisoner during an IOFs raid in Ya’bad town. Three brothers were also kidnapped by the IOFs from Qabatya town, south of Jineen. During the same IOFs raid in Qabatya, the Israeli occupation soldiers reportedly assaulted and injured a young man and wreaked havoc on the contents of his home. The IOFs also detained and interrogated other young men in Qabatya. In Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the new refugee camp of 'Askar and raided homes and apartment buildings, without reported kidnappings. 8 kidnapped. 1 injured. *** IOAR seizes six dunums in 'Anata, east of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Saturday 1-November-2025 El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC) The Israeli occupation apartheid regime (IOAR) has seized around six dunums of Palestinian land in the town of 'Anata, northeast of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), to build a new settlement road. The Palestinian government’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said that “the occupation authorities today seized 5 dunums and 856 square meters of land belonging to citizens from the town of 'Anata in the Jerusalem Governorate,” noting that this was carried out through a military order known as “Land Seizure Orders” bearing the number T/65/25. It explained that the measure aims to construct a settlement road linking the “Nofei Prat” settlement to Road No. 437, for the benefit of settlers. The Commission pointed out that since the beginning of this year, Israeli authorities have issued a total of 54 similar military orders across the West Bank and Jerusalem. It added that “the occupation authorities have recently intensified the issuance of such military orders in an attempt to impose new realities on Palestinian land through the establishment of military towers and roads designated for the army and settlers.” According to official Palestinian data, the number of Israeli settlers illegally residing in Palestinian land in the West Bank reached around 770,000 by the end of 2024. The United Nations considers all Israeli settlement activities on Palestinian land illegal, affirming that these practices undermine the two-state solution and has for years called for their immediate cessation. Over the past two years, settlers have carried out 7,154 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, resulting in the killing of 33 people, the displacement of 33 Palestinian Bedouin communities, and the establishment of 114 settlement outposts, according to Commission data. In parallel with the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, leading to the killing of 1,062 Palestinians, the injury of around 10,000 others, and the arrest of more than 20,000 people, including 1,600 children. Israel launched a genocide in Gaza on October 8, 2023, which lasted two years, leaving more than 68,000 martyrs and over 170,000 wounded. It ended with a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, 2025. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Note: Despite the Trump administration support for the Israeli occupation apartheid regime, the U.S. official policy is still considering the Israeli settlement activities in the Palestinian territories as illegal. *** Illegal Israeli settlers attack farmers and activists near Nablus and Jerusalem NABLUS, November 1, 2025 (WAFA) – A group of the illegal Israeli settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian farmers and foreign activists in the occupied West Bank districts of Nablus and Jerusalem on Saturday, local sources reported. In the town of Baita, south of Nablus, witnesses told WAFA that the illegal settlers, protected by Israeli forces, assaulted farmers and international solidarity activists during an olive-picking event east of the town. The attackers set fire to several olive trees and stole some of the harvested olives. Meanwhile, in the Bedouin community of Al-Ma'azi, east of the town of Jaba', in the eastern countryside of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), a group of the illegal Israeli settlers threw stones at residents' homes and set tires on fire under the protection of Israeli forces. No injuries were reported in this incident. The settler attacks against Palestinian farmers have been rampant during the olive harvest season in the West Bank. These attacks often involve physical assaults, theft of olives, destruction of trees, and intimidation, with Israeli forces frequently present to protect the colonists. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, since the start of the olive harvest in early October 2025, there have been at least 259 recorded attacks, including 218 by colonists and 41 by the Israeli army, affecting dozens of villages and hundreds of farmers. These actions have disrupted harvesting, caused economic losses, and fueled tensions across the region. M.N. *** Illegal Israeli settlers assault shop owners in El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)'s Old City El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), November 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Two of the illegal Israeli settlers assaulted Palestinian shop owners in occupied Jerusalem’s Old City on Saturday, while Israeli forces detained four Palestinian citizens, local sources said. According to the sources, the illegal Israeli settlers attacked traders and their shops in the Old City, as Israeli forces detained four members of the Abu Subai'h family after forcing them to close their stores on Al-Wad Street. In a related incident, a group of the illegal Israeli settlers also targeted Palestinian-owned land in the town of Umm Touba, south of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem). The attacks come amid an escalation of violence by the illegal Israeli settlers across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, particularly during the olive harvest season, as Palestinians continue to face property damage, assaults, and forced closures under heavy Israeli military protection. M.N. *** Illegal Israeli settlers assault three women and torch vehicles in northern West Bank NABLUS, November 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Three Palestinian women were injured on Saturday evening after being assaulted by a group of the illegal Israeli settlers in the village of Tell, west of Nablus, according to local and medical sources. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the women were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment after being beaten by the illegal Israeli settlers. At the same time, colonists attacked Palestinian vehicles and homes south of Nablus. Local sources said the attackers threw stones at vehicles along the road near the Yitzhar colony, damaging several cars and causing heavy traffic congestion. 'Abdullah Ziyada, head of the Madama village council, reported that colonists also pelted homes with stones along the bypass road adjacent to the colony. Meanwhile, the illegal Israeli settlers set fire to two vehicles in the village of Far’ata, east of Qalqilya. According to local reports, the assailants came from the Havat Gilad colony, and carried out the attack under Israeli military protection. Two vehicles belonging to local Palestinian residents were completely burned, while a third vehicle was vandalized. These attacks come amid a surge in colonist violence across the occupied West Bank, particularly during the ongoing olive harvest season, which has seen hundreds of reported assaults on Palestinian farmers, homes, and property. M.N. *** Three Palestinians injured in armed settler attack near Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) Saturday 1-November-2025 Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), (PIC) Three Palestinian citizens were wounded by live fire during an attack by a group of the illegal Israeli settlers on the village of El-Minya, southeast of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), on Saturday. According to Zayid Kawazba, chief of the village council, a horde of armed Jewish settlers escorted by soldiers opened fire directly at local residents near the village, injuring three of them in their lower limbs. All the wounded were transferred to the hospital for medical assistance. This attack occurred amid a sharp rise in settler violence across the occupied West Bank, especially during the current olive harvest season, which has seen the highest level of settler attacks in five years, with over 120 incidents reported. The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Friday that 126 settler attacks were recorded in 70 West Bank towns and villages, and more than 4,000 olive trees and saplings were vandalized during the olive harvest season. *** International Olive Council calls for accountability for Israeli attacks on olive trees MADRID, November 1, 2025 (WAFA) – The advisory board of the International Olive Council has urged the international community to hold Israel, the occupying power, accountable for its ongoing attacks on Palestinian olive trees and to compensate farmers for their losses, according to a statement released Friday. The call came during the council’s 65th advisory board meeting in Madrid, Spain, attended by representatives from 18 olive-producing and consuming countries across the world, including Palestine, which was represented via video conference by Fayadh Fayadh, director-general of the Palestinian Olive and Olive Oil Council. The meeting reaffirmed one of the council’s core principles: defending the olive tree and ensuring its protection globally. Members emphasized that support for olive trees and olive oil production should not discriminate based on origin or source, with quality being the only acceptable standard. They warned that spreading misinformation or creating division undermines the unity of the global olive sector. Abdul Salam Al-Wad, chair of the council’s advisory board, shed the light on the daily attacks on olive trees in Palestinian territories, including uprooting and preventing farmers from accessing their lands to harvest olives. He expressed the board’s solidarity with Palestinian farmers and called on the international community to take responsibility for these violations. Fayad detailed the situation of the olive sector in Palestine, noting that Israeli authorities have carried out a systematic plan to destroy olive trees. Since 1967, approximately one million trees have been destroyed in the West Bank. Between 2010 and September 2025, Israel destroyed 250,274 olive trees, and from October 2023 to the present, 56,077 trees have been lost. He cited the village of Al-Mughayir in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, where in a single day in August, Israeli forces destroyed 10,000 olive trees and reduced the village’s cultivated area from around 25,000 dunums, mostly planted with olives, to less than 1,000 dunams after seizing most of the land. In Gaza, Fayadh noted that Israel’s two-year campaign of destruction left only 100,000 olive trees from an original one million, along with the destruction of 35 out of 40 olive presses, amounting to a major blow to the sector. The advisory board stressed the need for a new vision of cooperation in the olive oil sector based on transparency, sustainability, and justice to ensure fair distribution of the benefits of this natural resource among all stakeholders.
